Excellence in Professional Practice means creating an environment that fosters learning innovation through technology. Administrators must provide the time, resources and facilitate collaboration.

Examples of how administrators can support this standard is by modeling through the use of their own websites as well as attending and actively participating in trainings. Administrators should also stay up to date on the latest trends of educational technology.

The amazing Sierra Administrators conclude that standard 3 addresses a principal's responsibility to provide time and resources for staff professional development to implement technology practices.

Principals also should ensure that they are practicing and modelling current technology and maintaining their own personal professional growth in terms of technology.
